Autumn on Parade
OCT. 2-3 | OREGON, IL
Join us for the 50th Autumn on Parade festival on Oct.2-3 in scenic Oregon, Illinois. This year's theme is 'Rockin' 50 Years!'
Farmer's Market Craft Fair on the square
The heart of Autumn on Parade is its Farmer's Market and Craft Fair, located on the historic Ogle County Courthouse Square in downtown Oregon where more than 175+ craft booths surround the 127-year-old Ogle County Courthouse. The booths offer handmade, homemade and homegrown items as well as many other kinds of goodies.
On Saturday, antique tractors and classic cars will be on display at Oregon Park East, just across the Rock River. Owners of Olivers, Farmalls, and Deeres are more than willing to share the history of their tractors and visitors won’t want to miss The Focus House Car Show.
Visitors can also tour the Chana School on Saturday, also located at Park East. This unique two-room school, built 1n 1883, is celebrating its 138th birthday this year.
On Saturday, kids and adults can take part in the Donut Eating Contest near the courthouse square where there will also be live entertainment.
On both days, the Fun Zone, located just north of the Courthouse Square, offers a place for kids to burn off some energy. Admission provides all-day use.
Hungry? Don't forget to stop by the Food Court, which includes a variety of choices from booths run by local not-for-profit organizations.
Visit the Renaissance: Olde English Faire from 9 am - 5 pm
During the first weekend in October, Stronghold transforms itself from a modern retreat and meeting facility to the site of the Olde English Faire. It's located about 2 miles north of Oregon on IL Route 2 at 1922 Illinois Rt 2 N, Oregon, IL.
Wandering players perform both onstage and off as crafters and merchants display their wares. Minstrels fill the pathways and stages with melodies while children gather in the Gremlin's Garden for stories and other children's activities. These and many more delights await you at the Olde English Faire!
Tours of the Stronghold Castle will be available.
Admission is charged for this event.
